CBD PRODUCTS: BUSTING MYTHS

CBD, an active agent found in Cannabis plants, is non-psychoactive and found to be an alternate and organic solution to many common health problems. But, as it is made from a plant that has been legalized recently, some myths are still prevailing which needs to be busted. Here we will talk about such myths and bust them with science and facts.

Myth 1: Medical Benefits of CBD is not Scientifically Proven

Fact: Many scientific studies and researches have already concluded that CBD based healthcare products made from premium hemp extract are very good remedies to different types of pains, anxiety disorders, depression, sleeping disorders, high blood pressure, etc. Even, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved a medication called Epidiolex last summer, which is CBD based and effective for seizure disorders that have little to no alternate solution.

Myth 2: Recently Legalized, So not Enough Research

Fact: It has been recently legalized in the US that not in all states, thus US based research foundations and universities have a set of research done within the time they have got. But along with the researches done within the US borders, many studies outside the US border have proven results on the use of CBD. Research in the United Kingdom found CBD successfully treating ulcerative colitis. Another one in Italy concluded that CBD slows down the growth of cancerous cells. These are just two on many.

Myth 3: Sketchy Industry, Sketchy Products

Fact: As a recently legalized substance, regulatory laws are still being made and standards are still being set on quality. In such time, there is definitely a grey area in this industry. In cases, the dosages are found to be lower than promised. But, it is not an industry full of scammers. Trusted sellers are now have made CBD based products widely available all over the country. These products are not only results of years of research and innovation but also tested in labs for proper quality and dosage assurance.

What Is the Mechanism?

CBD interacts with the body's endocannabinoid system and binds to cannabinoid receptors, which are located in nearly every cell. These receptors have a role in a variety of organ activities, including pain perception and muscular relaxation. CBD does this by reducing the strength of pain signals delivered to the brain and providing pain relief through relaxation.
